Tariq Qaqish
Tariq Qaqish is an award-winning executive with over 20 years of experience in wealth and asset management. He is currently the CEO of SALT Fund Placement, a financial solutions firm that provides wealth management services to high net worth investors, institutions, and companies seeking to raise capital in the Middle Eastern region.
Mr. Qaqish began his career in 1992 at Jordan National Bank, where he worked in the treasury department. He subsequently worked for several other financial institutions in the Middle East, including First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) and Al Mal Capital. During his time at FAB, he managed two mutual funds with a total asset under management (AUM) of USD 1.3 billion, which were ranked as the best performing funds in 2007 and 2008. At Al Mal Capital, he introduced a wealth management platform, expanded the firm’s product lines, and grew its AUM by 8x to USD 325 million.
Mr. Qaqish has also won several awards in recognition of his stellar performance and consistent track record in wealth and asset management. In addition to managing funds and the wealth of family offices and institutional investors in the Middle East, he has established a vast network of relationships in the industry, which has led to several advisory roles across various asset classes and industries.
Mr. Qaqish holds a Master’s Degree in International Business from the University of Wollongong in Australia. He is widely recognized as one of the most powerful fund managers in the Middle East and has been named one of the MENA Power 50 Fund Managers of the year.
